DAVID CLAPPER – 17-year music industry veteran. From jazz, to gospel, to bluegrass to metal, from country to pop, this man’s got an eclectic ear and a damn good one. You’ll notice a strong heaping of intensity despite the broad strokes across genres.
- The Heavy – “How You Like Me Now” – This band from nowhere-land in England is FUNKY!!
- Black Mountain – “The Hair Song” – This song has an old Zeppelin sounding riff and makes me want to smoke large amounts of cannabis.
- Fran Healy – “Sing Me to Sleep” – Lead singer from Travis and downloaded for free on iTunes. Neko Case is SEXY – love her voice in this!!!
- Deftones – “You’ve Seen The Butcher” – Hard and heavy and the lyrics are HOT. Stripper song. CALL ME!
- Kings of Leon – “Back Down South” – I know, I know – We are over saturated with this band but get over it – they still rock! Great song off the new album.
- Fun – “At Least I’m Not As Sad (As I Used to Be)” – Silly but FUN!
- Band of Horses – “Infinite Arms” – WTF are they singing about in this song?
- Black Keys – “Never Gonna Give You Up” – These dudes are from OHIO so I’m gonna love em’ regardless! O-H – IO
- Sleepy Sun – “Lord” – I visualize a sunset stroll under the Golden Gate Bridge eating mushrooms when I listen to this song. Bluesy and melancholy. (I’m NOT a druggie – I Promise)
- Julian Velard – “Joni” – It’s like the moment I realize that I’m watching “Catch and Release” ALONE! Ok so Jennifer Garner is HOT but not hot enough to watch that movie without a girl.
